Officially ended my tenure with Colivys. I originally left 5 star but I had to change it. As of right now it’s been 3 months since I left and I haven’t received my deposit back. There has been no effort to get in contact nor answer any emails on the matter. The apartment I stayed in was nice. But until I have received my deposit back or at least received some kind of communication it’s only fair I warn future students that this could happen to you as upon researching and speaking to others I have heard similar stories. In addition I’m further upset at the slow proceedings due to the fact that on top of this. We were also left without heating for what amounted 2 whole months and we still paid utility bills. I personally always paid my rent on time and tried to be very understanding. But I can’t anymore. If anything changes so will my score but for now I cannot. €500 is the usual deposit amount and that’s a lot of money to withhold without a good reason especially after a contract was signed. It’s essentially breaking a contract. BEWARE! If you’re not prepared to part with your money perhaps think a little more about this company and go chose another and establish rules on the deposit. It’s not fair nor nice to treat students like this especially international.

The company is a joke. I moved out of my accommodation mid December 2023 and still haven’t received my deposit. I had to pay all fees the same day but they have held onto this for months. This isn’t only for me I have contact with lots of other international students who also haven’t received it back (4 to be precise from a variety of different countries) and that’s only people I know there are likely many more. We have all sent emails with responses like it will arrive soon and it’s been weeks. Very quick to take it but will do anything they can to not give it back. I now have to go an external company to get my money back as there is no trust it will be returned. When I sent this email that I would be taking further legal action I appear to have been completely ignored.

Shabneez Abdool who was in charge of our reservation was excellent. She was efficient in showing us around the apartment, explaining how things work and making sure we were well informed and equipped. Very pleasant experience overall!

Colivys have been extremely helpful for our stay so far in Strasbourg. They made the moving in process extremely easy. They have been quick at replying to any queries that we have and I would recommend them to anyone.

I was living in one of Colivys' apartments in Strasbourg for one semester. Everything was perfect, clean apartment, very friendly communication, received help with every problem. Had no problems after the checkout. I would do it again as an erasmus student.

I'm absolutely livid with the recent experiences I've had with Colivys. They have demonstrated a consistent pattern of negligence and disregard for their users: Toilet Troubles: Our toilet was leaking so they sent plumbers after months of requests, only for them to abandon the job midway, leaving us without a functioning toilet. Dryer: Our dryer was broken from the day that I arrived. Their handling of the dryer situation was a complete mess. They "fixed" it, but it broke again shortly after, and when they brought a replacement, they left our apartment in disaster with water everywhere, a detached bathroom door, and cables hanging haphazardly. Dishwasher: Just like out dryer, our dishwasher remained non-functional for an extended period, despite sending a technician every week. Their technicians spent hours in our entry, making us uncomfortable and disrupting our daily lives. Mold Neglect: The presence of mold in the kitchen and bathroom was never addressed or cleaned, posing health risks. Booger Bedsheets: The appalling condition of the bedsheets upon my arrival, full of someone else's boogers, was absolutely disrespectful. Ridiculous Rent Reduction: Their attempt at rent reduction was not only laughable but an insult to our intelligence. Security Disgrace: The most significant issue was their security negligence. Our old tenant got his key stolen. On the key there was a chain that exposed our address. A couple of weeks after someone broke into the apartment and stole. When I moved in I met a guy inside the apartment, thinking it was my roommate. After meeting my real roommates and hearing from the break in and the lost keys I understood that there was a complete strager inside the apartment while I was there alone. It was a huge security risk, since Colivys did not change the lock of the doors. It took them three months to fix the locks, despite our daily emails and a break-in incident in April that they completely ignored. And then they had the guts to send over their employees, with a key, to our apartment without notice, violating our privacy and scaring us because of the situation we were having. Colivy's continuous mistreatment and disrespect toward their users are inexcusable. These issues go beyond inconvenience; they affect our safety, well-being, and trust in their services. It's high time Colivys takes responsibility and addresses these issues with the seriousness they deserve. Users deserve better, and Colivys must do better! Sincerely, A Frustrated User

The accommodation was very nice. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. As I was an erasmus student, it was in a very good location right beside the university. All the facilities worked very well also. It was also right beside the tram, it was very convenient.
