HafH Nagasaki SAI is located in the center of Nagasaki, one of the leading tourist destinations in Japan. A space that stimulates creativity by up-and-coming architects, baristas, and book sommeliers. A coworking space surrounded by camping tools that inspire you when you go upstairs. Like Dejima, where foreign cultures and local cultures of Nagasaki once met and created a new climate, foreign students and research students, local students, nomad workers and local people.

I stayed at this youth hostel for two days and one night, and I truly enjoyed my time here. The facilities at the hostel were very clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location of this place is extremely convenient, with many attractions and restaurants within walking distance.

Capsule hotel with unventilated but huge seemingly wooden capsules. There are other rooms as well, which I did not check. I deliberately slept with my head towards the entrance of the capsule, so I don't know if ventilation is an issue. Slept like a log. Very dark after lights out, maybe there should be some soft, dimmed light in the corridor. Breakfast wasn't too too expensive, but it included a lot of things I didn't like, so I didn't get it. Friend got it and enjoyed it, but had to order extra things. Staff was nice, we could store our bags after checkout, while exploring. Price wasn't too bad. They have a very interesting and weird, fun communal area, but we didn't have time to use it.

Great location and service. The room was small but quite enjoyable due to the huge window. The whole building is very nice and stylish. The food (lunch/dinner and breakfast) was very good!! I haven't put 5 star because of one of the staff (all the others were super nice and professional). I initially booked one night and then I contacted them to ask if a late check-in was possible (later than mentioned on the website) and if so, I'd like to book an additional night. I received a message telling me it was possible, and 1h later, another message telling that someone booked the room in the meantime, so it's not possible anymore. I work in hospitality and it's quite strange to me that they didn't at least hold the room 1h, as I clearly mentioned that I was planing to book it. So I had to book another accommodation for the first night. Then, upon check-in, I gave my Japanese driving license (acceptable ID card) and the staff strongly push for me to give my resident card (to check my resident status), while there is not legal reason for that. All the other hotels accept the driving license.

This hostel is absolutely amazing! The design and decor of the common spaces, cafe downstairs and the room is really cool and very modern. The private room itself was really spacious with a comfy double bed, desk space and wardrobe. The shower and toilet area was clean and spacious too. The common space upstairs was absolutely massive, shame we were only able to stay 1 night and not use this space but it's great for hanging out and cooking. The cafe downstairs is really nice too and they had amazing breakfast with great coffee. The staff speak decent English and helped us very well. Location of the hotel is good to, maybe a bit harder to reach with public transport but there's lots of stuff to do and see around here. We'd highly recommend staying here in Nagasaki.

I had a fantastic stay here! The staff member who checked me in was so warm and confirmed that they were able to accommodate my request for a bottom bunk. I was in the Yataro room which is configured in a way that three bunks are in one part and another 2 beds are on the other side of a sliding door partition inside the room. I was lucky enough to be in one side by myself so I essentially had a private room! I loved the layout of the 3F living area. Breakfast the next morning was really good and included in the price of my stay. Highly recommend!
