One of the worst living experiences in 20 years This is a complaint message as the manager can not resolve the issue and does not take this seriously. These were all due to the information on the website was not sufficient for us to make a good decision. When we planned to stay in Houten, the information from the hotel only showed ‘near to the train station’. However, nightmares started in the evening the first night we stayed. We lived in 302, when we arrived, there was no one at reception and finally, I met the manager but I was treated like an intruder. (The first sentence was 'who are you?' and not welcome.) Later on, they only mentioned the hob but did not say anything about the room. Nightmare 1: In the kitchen, there is no cooking oil, kitchen paper towel, dishwashing liquid, salt and pepper, ketchup, tea bags, essential stuff etc. we bought it all on top of the bill, over €15-20. Only one tea bag was provided and we booked a room for two! (This cost more than we stay on 9 mins train away from Amsterdam and the room was even bigger.) Nightmare 2: Shower room with no shower curtain. We have to be very careful in order not to spill the water everywhere. This made the shower not enjoyable. After showering every time, we have to scrap the water into the drain to make it dry and this can be simply resolved by having a shower curtain. Nightmare 3: The room, 302, was right next to the train platform and about 5 meters away, there was no soundproofing. We can hear the train passing by every 10-15 mins and even throughout the night with double glassing window and door. Sometimes, it came with strong vibrations. It made me really hard to get to sleep. As result, I can not sleep and did not feel rested at all. This could have been mentioned when we booked or when we arrived. The manager said no one ever complained so they did not know. They said ‘because they can not change location, there was nothing else they can do.’ There were many things they can do before we actually arrived and were not able to sleep. I don’t know what’s worst, the staff did not know what they have or the staff can not put their customers first. This has ruined my holiday and the good impression of the Netherlands. I wish they can do better for their customers and no one will have the same experience as me.

We stayed there for 2 months and really liked the place. It’s conveniently next to Houten station and near all supermarkets. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Central location, easy online check in and out. Awesome costumer service, always quick to answer. Nice and clean lofts, layout well thought for the small space. I will totally stay here in the future!
