I stayed 1 week as a volunteer at Kalart. As others have mentioned in the comments, the location is amazing right next to a national park with hiking trails starting just outside the door. The community is great as it's a mix of long term residents and new people who stay short term as guests. So, there's a variety of points of view and life experiences. My experience as volunteer was short due to the organization needing someone with skills I don't have quite developed. The tasks for the first day of volunteer work included: fixing the gas flow of a stove by replacing the gas valves, building a little wooden stool, chopping enough wood to fill a woodshack under a staircase, fixing another woodshack where the wood was kept in the back, moving some other wood to a different location and tuning up the lighting of the cowork place. It took me most week to complete half the tasks and I needed guidance. So, I recommend for new volunteers to have sharp skills if coming here and be up to speed. As an example of the expectations, I was told I should be able to build a little wooden stool in 15 minutes. It's doable for experienced people I guess. Something to point out is that cleaning is done by everyone who lives in the house (bathrooms included). There's no external cleaning person or crew for cleaning, as far as I know. So, this can be both an exercise of self-sustainability for some people, or an anoying activity for others. Overall, it's a great place to experience a rural coliving that hosts an organic community. It's no utopia but it's real and self-managed, with the limitations that it involves.

I stayed for a month.. the environment is beautiful, surrounded by nature with great hikes, and Roger’s way of organizing things was excellent. However, I found the communication from the founders at times a bit emotionally charged and not always grounded, especially when it came to giving feedback or addressing group matters, which surprised me for a place centered around community and conscious living. At €900 per month, having to clean bathrooms twice a week and cook twice for 10–15 people felt like quite a lot for the price. My room was also next to a busy road - something light sleepers might want to check in advance. What I missed most was a real feedback culture. Even after living there for a month, no one asked for input or reflections, which felt like a missed opportunity to grow together. I also had to follow up myself about the deposit weeks later. It also felt a bit unclear whether Kalart wants to be a genuine community or more of a business. As a short-term guest, it was sometimes harder to integrate, as many residents had already formed a tight group and most activities happened spontaneously. On the positive side, I met some truly like-minded people with whom I’ll definitely stay in touch. Overall, a beautiful place with great potential.

I stayed at Kalart for around 1 month and had an absolutely amazing time! It was such a fun and upbeat group of people. We shared great conversations, music jams, dance sessions and beautiful hikes. The nature surrounding the house is stunning; lush natural forest and mountains in every direction, and the local village is really charming and lively. Thanks for everything!

I recommend coming here and leaving with a large group of people, like a family.❣️🌹❣️ The place is located in the Montseney Natural Park ⛰️, which makes it even more magical. Thousands of hikes, fruits, mushrooms (when it's the season), and adventures await.

Kalart is a special place that draws mission-aligned, thoughtful people together. Roger & Noemi do an incredible job curating a community that feels purposeful and genuine. The daily shared lunch adds a personal rhythm that turns the space into something more than just a coworking stay for short-termers. I extended my time there, made friends I still see, and left feeling deeply grateful for the experience.

Kalart exceeded every expectation I had! This isn't just a coliving space - it's a place with real purpose and heart. Noemi, Roger, and all the fellow colivers made my stay absolutely unforgettable. From day one, I felt welcomed, at home, and completely safe in such a respectful environment. The location itself is magical - nestled in a valley that offers breathtaking, lush landscapes at every turn. Whether you're looking for a place to stay or a transformative experience, Kalart delivers both beautifully. I can't recommend this place enough. It's rare to find somewhere that combines stunning natural beauty with such genuine warmth and community spirit. Thank you for an incredible experience!

I really enjoyed my 5 month stay at Kalart! After 6 months of travelling and working on the road, it was just the kind of place I was looking for to be able to settle for a while within a community close to nature. I felt looked after and respected by the hosts (Roger and Nohemi) who were very accommodating and kind. The weekly gatherings and activities with the fellow co-livers were alot of fun and sparked creativity and sometimes pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best ways! The community is made up of interesting and lovely people from all over the world who inspired me in many ways. The location of the is beautiful! I loved my daily runs and walks around the local area as well as outings further afield. Thank you for everything!

I spent a little over two months at Kalart and Kaliu. It was a magical place where the colivers create an environment to feel safe and at home. With every person that arrives and leaves, the place is constantly moving dynamicly, it's like a beautiful painting that is being continued or added to. I found a second home that feels save to come back to, and a place that I found some parts of myself that I thought went missing. I am very greatful for every single precious memory.
