Komune Living in South Bangsar offers a comfortable stay with good service and decent amenities. Breakfast includes a mix of Asian and a few Western items, generally prepared with less salt and sugar. One thing to note is that rooms do not come with bottled water—you’ll need to refill from the hot and cold water dispensers available on each floor. The service desk and reception tend to stay very busy. The property has 29 floors. The ground floor hosts the breakfast area, and the 1st floor provides self-laundry facilities with washing machines and dryers (RM10 per wash and RM10 per dry). The 29th floor features a swimming pool with a fantastic view, and just above it is a small lookout deck offering a panoramic city view. There is reading room by adjacent side.. Kerinchi is the nearest MRT station, and KL Sentral is only three stops away. Little India is around 3 km from the hotel, offering plenty of Indian restaurants and stores. Chinatown and Central Market are about 5 km away, where you can shop for a wide variety of items, including many budget-friendly options.

Absolutely disappointing experience. First of all, no one told us that the trunk bed requires an extra charge. We requested a bedsheet for the trunk bed during late at night, and instead of informing us about any fees, the staff suddenly demanded RM54 out of nowhere when we checked out after morning. To make things worse, the hotel staff lied straight to our faces. They claimed I said "we had already paid for the trunk bed", and when confronted, they changed their story to they “thought” we paid. Why would I spend an entire hour at 12am asking if the bedsheet was free of charge, just to lie to about paying for the trunk bed? Completely unprofessional. Lesson learned: record every conversation with them, because they will twist their words later and pretend you agreed to pay for something you were never told about in the first place. Avoid this place unless you want to deal with dishonesty and surprise charges.

This incredible location boasts friendly and efficient staff, amazing restaurants nearby, and clean, modern rooms. The well-maintained building ensures everything works perfectly, and the gym and pool are top notch. The price is reasonable, offering great value for the cost. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

Photos look better than in real life. Smell of smoke if a/c was turned off in room. In-room wifi not workable. Strict no-cancellation or change policy. At this price point, alternatives that offer better quality exist. Area: strategic next to highways. Not many food options on Grab.

Room is smaller than average but very satisfied with the cleanliness. Housekeeping was performed everyday unless "do not disturb" is turned on. However, i thought a 3-star hotel should provide some basic necessities such as toothbrush, toothpaste, mineral water and ironing board. Though water dispenser is provided at every floor. Car park rates can be quite expensive if you go in and out a few times a day. It's at RM6 per entry and guests would have to validate at the receptionist each time before exiting. And to the owner, please remove those speed humps at the exit before the barrier as it just make no sense to put so many of it in just a few meters apart.

Honestly it’s probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The location is amazing, co working space/common room is exactly what I need to get work done. The washing/drying machines are perfect. Gym/Pool excellent for a work out. The young cleaner Anis is such a gentleman & full of positive energy, he brightened up my day each morning. The receptionists are great & allowed me to store my suitcase while I travel. When I get back to KL I’m booking another stay here. Thank you!

Recent stay at Komune Living (Room 1605 - 25 Oct - 28 Oct 2025) The room and hotel were okay overall, but the room was quite small — not much space to move around. What really surprised me was that the hotel charges for almost everything! I needed an extra towel, and they said it costs RM8 for a one-time-use towel. Then when I asked for a plate, they didn’t even provide one — even though the room has a cabinet, refrigerator, and sink. So weird. Also, guests have to go all the way down to Level 1 just to iron clothes, which is really inconvenient. And not to mention, the LRT station is actually quite far — I thought I could just walk there, but nope… ended up taking Grab instead. Lastly, the shower drain was stuck — after just 5 minutes, the water already started pooling up. It was so uncomfortable. Hmm, not the best stay for me.

Very bad experience. Loud piling sound for 2 nights, being gaslit by staff about my concerns, hotel not refunding me for unused nights despite not providing a basic good night's rest. I had to book myself elsewhere and pack up at 3 am, so I can get a good night's sleep. Book at your own risk.
