This is not the typical rental experience. Here you are going to live in a hotel that also has its own bakery and when you wake up you will smell that authentic and delicious aroma of freshly baked bread!

Praktik boutique hotels are an absolute gem! The small, modern and well designed rooms are bright and welcoming. I have experienced 2 of the Praktik establishments and each has been a worthwhile unique experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. During my latest stay at Praktik Èssens we had the opportunity to meet other guests during the free happy hour. Another nice perk is the availability of coffee, tea, and filtered water anytime in the lounge area. The location is central with easy access to bus, metro or cabs or walking distance to famous monuments or shopping. I definitely recommend and will stay at a Praktik hotel during my next visit to Barcelona.

Great hotel, very well located and close to attractions, some meters from the metro station. The reception staff is very kind, the atmosphere is amazing, with the nice smells at the reception area and the lounge with free water, coffee and tea. A nice terrace also is linked to the lounge. Rooms are modern and clean. There is a safe and a small minibar with a coffee machine. Though vanity and hygienic products are missing, the shampoo shower gel and conditioner smells are so refreshing. Towels are provided daily , and you get also bathrobe and sleepers. Our triple room has a private terrace with a seating area and an exterior shower and bathtub, so stylish! I highly recommend this hotel and would come back with a great pleasure!

Great location, but the stay was disappointing due to several issues. 1. Confusion regarding the Superior Double Room (Room 505) According to the photos on the hotel’s website, the Superior Double Room was presented as having a sofa and a small living area separated from the bedroom. However, the actual room assigned to me (Room 505) had no sofa and consisted only of a small space with a bed. The interior size was the same as a standard Classic Room. When I asked at the reception, I was told that regardless of the room’s interior size, any room with an exterior balcony is classified as a Superior Room. This was quite surprising, and I felt that the room type description could be misleading. 2. Multiple room changes and heating issues Due to the issue mentioned above, I had to change rooms once. In the newly assigned room, the heater did not work for two days. This occurred during one of the coldest periods in Barcelona, and staying in a room without heating was extremely uncomfortable. I reported this situation to the reception and asked for it to be shared with the manager, but no clear solution or alternative was offered. As a result, I had to change rooms once again. Over the course of a one-week stay, I was required to move rooms a total of two times, which was very inconvenient. 3. Frequent elevator malfunctions During my stay, the elevator was out of service on four separate occasions, requiring me to use the stairs. These repeated malfunctions made moving around the hotel quite inconvenient, especially during a longer stay. * The maintenance technician who came to fix the heater was very kind, and I truly appreciated his help.

Was a great little boutique hotel in the heart of Passeig De Gracia, stones throw away from the Casa Battlo, Great connectivity by the metro and bus nearby. The staff were helpful and receptive of our requests and made us feel at home. There was a “happy hour” everyday from 7-8pm with some wine, but did not get to experience it, since we were busy exploring Barcelona. We went for the option with breakfast which was provided in the Oassis restaurant, also one of the best we had during our stay in Spain - kept us full for a whole day of exploring and sightseeing!!

First time in BCN and I’m so glad I chose this hotel. The location is perfect—close to the metro, a 24/7 convenience store nearby, and within walking distance of many historic spots. The food court right next door is amazing, and the 7–8 pm happy hour is a great bonus. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I truly enjoyed every part of my stay! Additionally, the water pressure of the shower is also very satisfying. Nothing feels better than a good hot shower after a long day of activities. They also have body lotion for you in the room which is not that common with other hotels I’ve stayed with. They definitely should get points for this! :)

The staff were very helpful; when the mattress in our roof was too soft to provide sufficient back support, they offered to move us to a different room and, even though it was larger, they did not charge us additional. They also had helpful recommendations for local restaurants. The rooms are in excellent condition, but the elevator was out for a few hours at one point. The location is superb; we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go.

It was my second time staying at this lovely hotel and I would definitely go back again. The rooms are well-equipped, a good size (I stayed in a superior double room) and have big windows with nice views to the street or courtyard. The staff are lovely, very helpful, friendly and thoughtful, and the location is perfect for all the main sights/transport links. And the whole place smells fantastic.

This beautiful small boutique hotel was in a lovely location and overall well-maintained and very clean. Big thumbs up for the complimentary coffee and water. However, it had three significant drawbacks. First, the bed and its mattress were very uncomfortable — when you lay down, you could feel the springs inside. I honestly don’t understand how others have praised the mattress as a positive feature; it urgently needs to be replaced if they want to maintain their rating. Second, although the hotel is called Praktik Essens and the entrance had a wonderful fragrance, this scent was completely absent from the rooms and hallways. A candle or a diffuser would greatly improve the atmosphere. Finally, regarding room 404, it was quite awkward to walk in and immediately face a sink, with no proper bathroom privacy. This layout felt impractical and lacked discretion for guests. In conclusion generally speaking the hotel was cute overall, but definitely pricey for what it offered.
