I’ve had a consistently great experience with Roomrs — this is actually my third apartment with them, which speaks to how smooth and reliable the process has been every time. Moving in NYC can be stressful, but Roomrs has made each transition straightforward and manageable. The sales and leasing process is always clear, organized, and responsive. I’ve appreciated how easy it is to communicate with the team whenever questions come up. Each apartment has matched expectations, and the move-in process has been seamless. Overall, Roomrs has made finding and moving into housing in NYC much less overwhelming. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a convenient and dependable housing option.

EDIT: Very, incredibly cool that these people will repond to a google review before a support email. Still waiting on a reply, by the way. Great sense of priorities. A horrific company. Let's start from the beginning. I apply for a room. Right away, they messed up the dates, 3 months shorter than what I needed. They said transfering after is a piece of cake, we'll waive your transfer fee! So I said fine. Turns out, transferring means a new lease, which means the highest $250 per month flex fee. Naturally, this was not explained until after I handed over my money. Fine, I'll just transfer earlier so my new lease is longer to save on the flex fees. Now I have to pay the full transfer fee, even though its your mistake. Again, never explained. Fine, I apply for a transfer. Didn't hear back for days, only to be told the room I wanted has been taken. Lol. Applied for another transfer. Got sent a lease with the wrong dates. Also, now they say they can't honor the advertised prices online for transfers, "those are only for new members." Hundreds of dollars per month difference and, once again, never explained beforehand. Fine, what choice do I have? So I just ask for the lease to be corrected for the right dates, at the very least. No response. We'll see if I ever hear back. Now, let's get to the room itself. The bedframe is wobbly and missing bolts. The desk is so wobbly as to be unusable, I literally work on my bed. The bed is stained in a way that looks like urine. Its just covered with a protector that I guess they thought I'd never take off to wash. The TV is unusable, usually doesn't turn on and the screen freezes immediately if it does. The curtains only cover about 80% of the window, leaving the room cold and drafty and letting people see inside. And to top it all off, there is a sticky rat trap (!?!?) stuck to the floor which I tried but can't fully remove. Photos and videos attached for everything. Don't get suckered into renting from these people. Actually read the "positive" reviews. IMO, highly likely they are fake/bought (very normal I'm sure for 90% of reviews to start with "they made the process so easy! etc...)

I discovered Roomrs almost randomly while looking for a short-term apartment for my project of moving to New York City. Since I didn’t know the platform at all, I spent time reading reviews. I came across one from a girl my age, and even though I was a bit skeptical at first, I reached out to her on Instagram to get more details. Her very positive feedback convinced me, and choosing Roomrs was absolutely the right decision :) My experience exceeded my expectations. My room was exactly as advertised: clean, comfortable, and cozy, a true little cocoon for my three-month stay and my first real experience living in NYC. The apartment was located in Bushwick, with a subway station right on the corner, making trips to Manhattan extremely easy and convenient. I was lucky enough to have my own private bathroom, which is a huge plus in shared apartments. The common areas were well maintained thanks to a monthly cleaning service, which made daily life much more comfortable. As a young woman living alone, I always felt very safe, which was incredibly important to me. The shared living experience was calm and respectful. I didn’t interact much with my roommates, but honestly, that sometimes works better than forcing interactions, and it suited me perfectly. What truly makes this a five-star experience is the Roomrs team and their responsiveness. I had a small issue during my first week, and it was handled immediately. The team regularly checked in to make sure everything was going well, which made me feel supported and never left on my own after moving in. Roomrs made my move to New York smooth, safe, and stress-free. I would 100% recommend Roomrs to anyone looking for a reliable, well-located, and professionally managed short-term housing solution in NYC, and I would absolutely use their service again without hesitation!!

My move-in experience with Roomrs has been really smooth so far. The team has been very responsive to my concerns and replies right away, which made the process much less stressful, especially moving to NYC. The room met my expectations and is exactly as advertised. I really love my room. Of course, there are normal signs of usage, which is expected, but everything was clearly communicated and nothing came as a surprise. Overall, the leasing and customer service process was straightforward and efficient. I appreciate how attentive and supportive the team has been, and it made settling into my new place much easier. *photo attached view from my room*

Roomrs made my move to NYC so much easier and far less stressful. I was able to secure a place quickly without the usual back-and-forth, uncertainty, or hassle that comes with apartment hunting here. The sales and leasing process was smooth and straightforward, and the team was consistently responsive, clear, and professional. Whenever I had a question, customer service got back to me fast and actually solved the issue. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish—simple, reliable, and exactly what you want when moving to NYC. I’d definitely recommend Roomrs to anyone looking for a stress-free setup.

Moving into my Roomrs apartment was incredibly easy since everything is fully furnished. As someone who loves cooking, I really appreciated that the kitchen was well equipped with all the basic supplies, which made the place feel like home right away. Customer service was great and very responsive, and the whole move-in process was smooth enough that I was settled in within a day. I’ve been living with Roomrs for over a year now, and I’m still very satisfied with my experience. I’d definitely recommend Roomrs to anyone looking for an easy and comfortable move to NYC.

Roomrs made my experience moving to NYC so much more easier, they facilitated a place to move in, in a great location, and I did not have to worry about buying furniture. Signing a lease was very easy and fast, and the overall experience was very satisfying as a young adult who's just moved and it's new to New York City. Overall it was a very statisfying experience.
