1 star – solely for the kind and helpful staff. Unfortunately, this residence is not designed for studying or maintaining a regular sleep schedule. The studios are extremely small, with minimal storage and a “kitchen” that barely deserves the name. Smoke and wind come through the closed window, and the smell of weed constantly drifts in through the bathroom vent. Fire alarms go off almost daily. The paddle courts are noisy from 8 a.m. until midnight, and weekends — as well as some weekdays — are dominated by loud parties and gatherings. These often continue well into the morning, with groups of people returning multiple times until 6 a.m., slamming doors, shouting, or singing in the hallways. Sleep becomes nearly impossible. There’s a clear lack of respect among many of the residents, making this place highly unsuitable for anyone looking for a calm or studious environment. While socializing and unwinding are important, the hours between 23:00 and 08:00 should be respected as quiet hours. (It’s worth noting that several of the recent glowing reviews were written by participants in a voucher giveaway.)

Very good place to live, flexible offers and safe environment! Small rooms but with a lot of storage! I recommend NIDO for university students who want a place close to the university but also want a sense of community!

I like the room, it’s nice and cozy. The Cleaning After Check in was not the best but all in all I’m happy to live here. The location is great and it’s easy to connect to people

Having a lovely time so far! I'm staying here for an academic year as an exchange student. Pros: - The staff are amazing, super friendly, check in was great, maintenance requests are fulfilled, there are good events for people to get to know each other - My room is nice and has everything I need (obviously barring crockery/consumables) - The location is insanely good. Lovely and quiet at night, great shops and restaurants close by, walkable to NOVA SBE. - Convenience! I don’t need a vacuum cleaner or mop as I can rent them from the lobby, the lobby also has a coffee machine and a vending machine, the study space is great, and having the staff receive my parcels is super useful. Cons - The main and only notable one is price. It’s not a cheap place to stay - you’re definitely paying for convenience - The studio rooms are quite small - if you have lots to store, this place is not for you. It’s great for anyone international who doesn’t have many bags, though - If you’re the type of person who likes to have guests round often, the way you access your room is via a digital key on your phone, so you have to always be present if a guest wants to access your room/even the building. The guest policy also doesn’t allow for many guests/longer visits. Some people complain about the sound of the Padel courts - my room faces the padel courts directly and it really isn’t as bad as people make it sound, and it isn’t a problem during any times I need to sleep. It could be a problem if you work night shifts and sleep during the day. On the price - If you’re an international coming here and you don’t want to be messed around by a landlord who forces you to only use Portuguese contracts, or wants crazy deposits up front, then I think Nido is for you. It’s definitely expensive, but it saves a lot of difficulty and hassle. Overall, the best thing about here is the staff! They’ve made me feel so welcome. Five stars just for them.

Nice place to live. Respectful residents and quiet. Padel noise a bit disturbing as well as some loud music from the Milestone residence some weekends. Studios will need soon some improvements.

Living at Nido Living Carcavelos has been an amazing experience! The apartments are modern, clean, and super comfortable. The common areas are always spotless and well maintained, and the social events they organize are a great way to meet new people and feel part of a community. But what really makes the difference is the staff. They are all incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely care about making your stay the best possible. Whenever you need something, they are there for you. I couldn’t recommend Nido Living Carcavelos more. It truly feels like home!

I’ve really enjoyed my stay at Nido Carcavelos! The staff especially Catrina, Joana, and Rita are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The community vibe, clean facilities, and well-organized services (like package handling and events) make it feel like home. Highly recommend for any student looking for a comfortable and supportive living experience!
