Me and my 8-year-old girl absolutely loved our stay at Stay KooooK Wankdorf Bern—pure comfort from start to finish. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. We also enjoyed the cozy lounge area and the stunning view from the terrace. Tjis hotel is near the main station, the Coop market was also near. The online check-in and check-out process was so simple. A flawless 5-star experience—the staff were excellent, and we’ll definitely be back! Thank you!!

Love the entire concept of the apart-hotel! Even though there was no reception counter in the building itself, the hosts and staff were there almost everyday until 5-6pm. They were also contactable through messaging app, so we didn’t have to worry about anything else. There is also a Coop Mart right downstairs, even though it closes at 5pm everyday and all day on Sundays, it’s still convenient for a quick grab for breakfast. There’s a shared cooking area at the 8th floor but there’s also one in the room itself. Saves us a lot of time and expenses since we can cook our own dinner! All staffs were extremely welcoming and friendly, including the housekeepers, they helped us in every bit of cleaning and topping up of toilet rolls and papers we needed in our room. Even on the very last day, the host made sure that our stay was up to our expectations and gave us recommendations and tips on what we can do on our very last day after checking out until our flight in the night time! We also came across families with children staying there as well since it’s a more quieter area of Bern but still extremely convenient with the train and bus terminal right outside their door step. We could literally leave our room 10 minutes before train departure without any rush to catch the train! We found the other Stay Kooook at Bern City, even though we loved the location for its convenience for food and everything else, we would definitely still choose Bern Wankdorf for its peacefulness. They will still be my choice if I ever visit Switzerland again.

The room was cozy and interestingly designed. Staff very nice and helpful, easy electronic check-in, no need to carry keys around. The cherry on top was the view over the mountains on the terrace!

Rooms and the amenities are brand new. Hotel is steps away from the Bern Wankdorf train station. It gave the vibes of a cool urban living space. The moving shelves, the washing machine and the right sized kitchen are awesome. The mobile based checkin process worked reliably. The setbacks are the A/C unit not working optimally (the room temp hardly dropped below 25 degrees Celsius), there is a washer but no dryer (and if there was there was no instructions about it anywhere and the machine itself had all instructions not in English so I can’t decipher), when you open windows to cool down the room bugs come in and there was no exhaust or window in the restroom. Still I would stay here because of pros mentioned and if I know I am travelling to spend most of my time outdoors anyway. The AC situation is the main deal breaker that the management should try and fix soon.

This hotel room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. After walking and exploring the entire day, we were always looking forward to coming home here to rest, as it was so comfortable. The experience was so good that we actually found out at which other places they have a hotel, so that we can plan our next trip according to the availability of a room in KooooK hotels. The room size is good enough, the bathroom is large, and they have all the amenities that you would need to cook food or get ready. The common space was a highlight and we loved our stay here

I stayed at Kooook in Wankdorf for 4 nights. Although I initially had some trouble with check-in (partly my fault, as I booked the hotel just an hour before arriving), the room (a single) was a big and pleasant surprise. I won’t comment on cleanliness and amenities, as these are expected in a hotel room. Instead, I’d like to focus on the interior design, which is truly remarkable. The architects (by the way, who are they, please?) managed to fit numerous ideas into just 22 square meters (~6.5x3.4m), creating a space that can transform according to the users’ mood and needs. The movable interior wall is a fantastic feature, but guests are not informed about it. I believe there should be better signage, rather than just the subtle label inside the wardrobe. The entire room design has been done with great attention to detail, and the result is truly impressive. I understand that some people might not like this aesthetic, but art is always subjective. A few notes: 1. For those who are not glued to their phones or don’t fully trust their devices, providing a physical key card for room access wouldn’t be a bad idea. (I only discovered that this was an option by pure chance.) 2. I asked whether there was an app for smart check-in and unlocking the room, and I was told no—that I had to use the link sent via email or WhatsApp. However, there is an app! 3. It would be helpful if both Bern hotels informed guests that the city of Bern provides free public transport for hotel guests. While you do provide the necessary code to access this benefit, guests need to know about it first in order to look for it. I even asked Swiss friends, and they didn’t know about it—so don’t expect tourists to figure it out through the app.
