I stayed at Kooook in Wankdorf for 4 nights. Although I initially had some trouble with check-in (partly my fault, as I booked the hotel just an hour before arriving), the room (a single) was a big and pleasant surprise. I won’t comment on cleanliness and amenities, as these are expected in a hotel room. Instead, I’d like to focus on the interior design, which is truly remarkable. The architects (by the way, who are they, please?) managed to fit numerous ideas into just 22 square meters (~6.5x3.4m), creating a space that can transform according to the users’ mood and needs. The movable interior wall is a fantastic feature, but guests are not informed about it. I believe there should be better signage, rather than just the subtle label inside the wardrobe. The entire room design has been done with great attention to detail, and the result is truly impressive. I understand that some people might not like this aesthetic, but art is always subjective. A few notes: 1. For those who are not glued to their phones or don’t fully trust their devices, providing a physical key card for room access wouldn’t be a bad idea. (I only discovered that this was an option by pure chance.) 2. I asked whether there was an app for smart check-in and unlocking the room, and I was told no—that I had to use the link sent via email or WhatsApp. However, there is an app! 3. It would be helpful if both Bern hotels informed guests that the city of Bern provides free public transport for hotel guests. While you do provide the necessary code to access this benefit, guests need to know about it first in order to look for it. I even asked Swiss friends, and they didn’t know about it—so don’t expect tourists to figure it out through the app.

Stay Kooook, Wankdorf / Bern is an outstanding example of a modern, well-thought-out hotel. The rooms are packed with clever features, making the stay both comfortable and efficient. From the seamless digital check-in to the multifunctional living spaces, everything is designed to enhance the guest experience. The attention to detail is impressive—flexible furniture, high-quality amenities, and smart automation create a home-like yet futuristic atmosphere. The location is also excellent, providing easy access to both business and leisure activities in Bern. If you appreciate innovative hospitality with a focus on functionality and comfort, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

There was no fridge (which i realised too late) and the room wouldn't get colder despite having the thermostat set low BUT overall its an excellent room and stay. Great location, really comfortable accommodation. Really like the contact through WhatsApp and having keys via the Web rather than a physical card. Would strongly recommend despite my setbacks!

It exceeded my expectations in all areas - locations, designs and the most important: hospitality. Our host (Lars) is extremely helpful and so welcoming, you indeed feel like home! The convenience store is just downstairs (Coop) and with a few walks away to the train stations - make our life easier to explore Bern and nearest regions. The common room is excellent with free coffees and teas! With 2 adults and 4 kids (1 toddler), their family room fits well.. and they have a kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine too! The stay is totally memorable and will surely return on my next trip to Bern.

Everything was perfect: the parking, the room, the shared spaces. You have everything you need. Even a restaurant and a supermarket connected to the same parking lot. Thanks so much to Lars that gave me all the possible details about my stay like tap water, terrace access, free coffee and tea, use of digital keys… I will definitely come back.

The room was amazing. The facility was really good. Had all the essentials that were required and also a nice pool table and a bigger kichen in case it was needed. I stayed 2 nights at the place, really loved the connections from it. It is not far from Bern central station, its only 1 stop away. Tram and Buses also has connections from this place.

Despite being the cheapest option at the time of my stay, it was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. The room was amazing, including a small kitchen that even had a washing mashine. The closet was moveable so you can make perfect use of the space, by either moving it towards the kitchen, or over the bed. The only downside was, that there was some muffled sound throughout the night, maybe from people walking upstairs. I'd recommend using earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Furthermore there was a common room where you could play games like billiard or even Xbox. There was also a common kitchen with an oven and more. Even tho breakfast is not included, they offer free Coffee as well as free marmalade. The whole experience was more or less contactless, so you have to have a smartphone. Just in general the whole hotel has been made with alot of love for detail which I really enjoyed. I don't normally write reviews, but this place was really awesome and deserves it.

We spent 7 days at this hotel and did all our exploring based here. The train station is a hop, skip and jump. Convinience store (coorp) right down. Great service. We had an issue with digital key not working and they were very responsive. When you have digital check in, always try to look into the customer service aspect as in the event it's inoperative, it could be a disaster (it happened to us before). However, this team was fantastic. I would only liked to have the bed a bit more comfy but thus is a minor issue. Won't hesitate to stay at this location again or recommend. All the best.
