The Student Hotel is great! Our Amsterdam City location is more than a hotel: it’s a hub for co-living and co-working where travellers, locals and students get together to learn, stay, work and play.

I only stayed at this hotel one night and it was one of the worst experiences I could have imagined. The bed was so uncomfortable I did not get an ounce of sleep after a whole day of traveling. The sheets kept lifting off the bed and we uncovered giant stains all over the mattress. I was so grossed out I had to leave the hotel early. All I wanted was to rest and it felt like I was laying on concrete. My partner and I didn’t sleep at all the entire night. The room was extremely small with only 1 towel. I would rather have a few extra towels than a condom gifted on the desk. We had to check in ourselves and it didn’t feel like a hotel experience but rather a college dorm. Don’t be fooled by the reviews, this is an uncomfortable stay and I would have preferred a hostel over this hotel.

I facilitated several personal development workshops at The Social Hub. My favourite room is The Teal Room. Members of the staff have been very friendly and helpful. The venue has a positive, high-energy vibe. It is not too formal, which helps participants quickly feel at ease and connect with each other in an informal way. What makes it a perfect location for professional workshops is that their restaurant is perfect for hosting networking drinks.

I loved the concept of combining living, socializing and working space together. This place is super vibrant and playful. It is just a short walk from the Wibautstraat metro station, well connected! Rooms are clean and spacious, their in-house restaurants serve excellent food. I enjoyed their vegan chicken burger.

Awesome new rooms. Delicious breakfast with wide variety of options. Easy to get to from Central Station. Well equipped gym. Only a short 5mins walk to the Amstel River where there are tons of cool cafes/restaurants and good options for a morning or evening jog. Will be back soon!

We have travelled extensively for the last fifteen years and this must be one of the most hyped places we have ever stayed. The location is great, close to the metro. Everything else failed to deliver. We arrived just before 3pm on 25th April having travelled 8 hours to be told our room was not ready- finishing touches to a newly renovated room. At 3.30 I then asked a different member of staff, Jessy, and she offered us an ordinary room- we were happy to take it as we were tired. It was a studio room, okay but no bedside tables and the horizontal blinds were really dusty. Two seventy year olds didn't have much use for the free condoms but we had to ask for tea and milk. The food at breakfast was good, an excellent selection, but the seating arrangements were chaotic with too many large tables occupied by one or two people . When we checked out we were met with a blank stage. A fire door was wedged open on the first floor. We paid 270 € for a very average stay and it felt more like a hostel than a hotel.

Positive stuff first: - The hotel location is fine - The staff was nice - It is clean-ish But in my opinion the primary function of a hotel is a place to sleep in and if the hotel doesn't deliver that, then... There was nailing to the walls and constant drilling from 8 a.m., and we could not possibly sleep. This was not acceptable, given the price of this place.

Black mold in the bathroom in each room looks like something normal for this hotel (according to other reviews) Cleaning service doesn’t care about carpet vacuuming at all. Nobody informs that renovation work is going now in the hotel and it starts from 6am. Enjoy your stay buddy 🫠 Don’t forget that it’s a dormitory… Drunk students and music in the middle of the night is not a surprise here.

Perfect location, super clean, comfortable bed and great staff. Professional and friendly! Oh yes, very good breakfast as well. Every sign on the wall brings a smile to your face and seeing a lot of young professionals around as well! From now on this is where I will be staying when I travel to Amsterdam!
