The Student Hotel is great! Our Amsterdam City location is more than a hotel: it’s a hub for co-living and co-working where travellers, locals and students get together to learn, stay, work and play.

We were really impressed by the hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights and everything was perfect. It has a subway station right next to it, really close to the city center as well. You can spend the evening in, at the pool table or having a drink at the bar. The room was clean and spacious. 100% recommend! Oh, also, the sustainability details are on point! Congrats!

The room was very good. Only the lighting in the bathroom left something to be desired. Unfortunately, on one day during our stay, there was a party with loud music in the hotel lobby until about 1:00am. This did disrupt our sleep. We where not notified that such an event would take place.

I am deeply dissatisfied with my stay at this hotel. Despite paying a considerable amount for four nights, the service has been far below acceptable standards. My fiancée and I have been here for over three days, and housekeeping has completely neglected our room. The bed hasn’t been made, the trash hasn’t been taken out, and the bathroom remains uncleaned. Additionally, one of the staff members who attempted to organize the room in the morning appeared visibly hungover, raising serious concerns about professionalism. Moreover, the cleaning policies are baffling. According to the manager, if an item like a sock is left on the bed, housekeeping refuses to clean not just the bed but the entire room, including the trash and bathroom

Good location with metro station next to hotel and some nice bars in the area. Breakfast is fine. Casting to room's TV works without a glitch and internet is sufficiently stable/fast. Overall not happy at all. Room is not as advertised on B.com and looking at other reviews this has to be intentional as the hotel must be fully aware (false advertising). Got bunk bed instead of promised twin bed which is unfortunate but I can accept that as I'm travelling solo and I understand limited options when a hotel is near capacity. The metal ladder next to my head was a worry at first but wasn't a problem in practice. Unfortunately, guests in the room next door can clearly be heard talking at normal volume, move about in their room and watch TV. Doors slam shut with loud bangs and will definitely wake you up. Even a few rooms down the hall. Room was listed as having 'soundproof walls' which is *clearly* not the case, not even close. Replies to other reviews mention that you can get ear plugs at the frontdesk... That's really not a solution. Either the rooms are soundproof or they are not. They really are not, so don't advertise them as such. There should also be a socket near the bed (as advertised) but there is none. Closest available socket is 2-3m from the bed. Not a major issue but annoying nonetheless. I don't mind basic hotels, as long as the room is clean, I can get a good night's rest and is otherwise as advertised. The latter didn't meet raised expectations and I didn't sleep well. I'm unlikely to return.

The hotel is really great! Very clean, friendly staff and perfect location close to metro. I give one star less since I got some messages through official Booking.com app about making a second payment with a link to a fraudulent site - and I had already paid. I didn't understand what happened but the response was 'Please ignore the link'. I feel this is a bit of a security issue.

This was an excellent hotel , the room was spacious and clean with a modern look about it. The metro station is also literally on the door step! Or if you prefer to walk into centre it’s about 30 minutes . Staff where very friendly and helpful, even allowing me to check in early which was very much appreciated

This "hotel" is actually a converted office building, and so sound travels through the walls pretty easily. Do NOT count on getting a bike rental, they have like 100+ bikes in the bike parking but somehow they only rent out like 5 of them each day or something, so they were difficult to reserve. The half glass window in the shower floods the bathroom whenever you take a shower. The location is good as it's next to the metro stop, there isn't that much in the immediate area but it's pretty easy to get around Amsterdam anyway.

Nice hotel a bit outside of the very city center but with easy access to the underground (right in front of the hotel). Rooms were clean and good sized but my room was extremely noisy (slapping doors from the neighbours or any water pipe from any neighbour). Super friendly check in and nice atmosphere all around the hotel. Big up for the gym and the laundry room on site. Breakfast was basic and overcrowded. Would still recommend.
