I would not touch this place with a stick if I didn’t have too. I don’t often leave reviews, Beyoo Marina is the most revolting student accommodation I have ever had the under privilege to step foot in. For the almost, 20,000$ I am paying to be abroad with this as my student housing is so unbelievably frustrating. First of all, my first week they changed my sheets and gave me someone’s bloody used sheets/the maid bled on my sheets and didn’t change them. I originally sent this to my program coordinator who then had someone come change them, but it’s still just unbelievable someone’s bodily fluids on my sheets. Spiders. Bugs. There are bugs in my room. As you can see they’re are spiders who crawl in the window frame i’m assuming, and have attacked me MULTIPLE times. This is enough as is for me personally, as I feel the bare minimum for a human being to rest in a room, is for it to not be infested with a species other than myself. In summary, this place sucks. I would never pay my own money to be here, I already feel bad as is for my parents paying for me to be here. No sense of community. You share a kitchen with 10 other people. If you are a student studying abroad, I am telling you you need a kitchen in your apartment and learn from my mistakes. Do not stay here.

I stayed here for one year. tldr: too expensive for what you get. I would definitely recommend other options in the city. Pros: The rooms are small, but comfortable (you even have your own bathroom). The gym is accessible 24/7. The pool and the view from the rooftop are amazing. The staff was very friendly and tried to be as responsive as they could. You can meet some friendly people and share time with them. Cons: Almost by design, there is no accountability on the use of shared spaces. On multiple occasions I had to deal with people who left a mess after using the kitchen. You can complain on the WhatsApp groups, but there is no real action the staff can take to reduce this behavior (e.g., leaving the space dirty or taking others' food). The pool is not actively cleaned off-season (only mid-Spring and Summer). The quality of the cleaning service varies by week. The gym is alright, but if you want proper equipment you are significantly better off by signing up on a real gym. Laundry services are not included and are quite expensive. One elevator never worked and was actively being repaired for almost the entirety of my stay. As mentioned by other reviews, the refund of the deposit is a hassle. They are quick for charging you, but very slow to refund you.

I have stayed here for 2 months and I will say the initial stay experience was revolting. I went to my room, which I specifically paid for A/C, and the A/C was broken. Moreover, the window was broken, I had recurring power outages, and there were bugs and the staff has been extremely rude towards me regarding these issues. Furthermore, Housekeeping keeps neglecting to clean my room and provide me with towels so I can shower. Every time I ask a question each receptionist provides a different answer. One of the vending machines is constantly broken and taking money even though they keep restocking it with items. DO NOT waste your time coming here, the location is convenient but so are many other housing options surrounding Beyoo. Even the receptionist named Eve has given me attitude regarding my valid discomfort. The only good work is Claudio!

I stayed here for 10 months and had a great experience! If you're a UPF Poblenou student, I definitely recommend this place because it's within walking distance to campus, and there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, so daily life is super convenient. I stayed in an ensuite room and it really beyond my expectations. Thank you Beyoo Marina, for helping me settle into life in Barcelona. I’ll definitely consider staying here again when I come back for my PhD!😃

First and foremost is the design of the rooms which is from my point of view so awkward and inconvenient that overweights any possible positive sides this place has. How do you expect people who came here to study for the entire academic year to store their clothes? And no, the hanger and a tiny drawer is for sure not enough for a person who came with 1 or 2 suitcases full of stuff. And apart from clothes you know students have books, papers or any other stuff that needs to be stored somewhere in the room… So there will be always mess in your room because storages are poor. The table is pretty tiny and in addition there is no proper table light. Those two bulbs hanging over the table that you see on photos is just kidding because they are subtle and to work properly in the afternoon you have to buy your own lamp. Also I cannot understand what was the reason to place a double bed in a single room if this room is not big enough. It limits the space even more. So you have almost no free space in your room and the space that is occupied is not really functional. This is not a student accommodation and it doesn’t feel like home. It is a hotel for exchange students who came here for a few months as the management is only interested in making money, because they charge you for everything even though you already pay a lot to live there and the price is totally not fair. Why do I have to pay for getting my bed linen changed if I already pay for cleaning is ridiculous. By the way the fully equipped kitchen means more than one knife for 10 people to share, also would be nice to have any tray or anything to cook in the oven. It makes me laugh that we have to buy sponges on our own. They make a beautiful image making polished photos on the website and not letting you to visit the residence before you move in, but as I already mentioned it is just an image. Nothing bad by the way about the staff they are nice and helpful and everything I wrote is totally not their fault.

Always something wrong with this place either the kitchen is 30 Celsius or the oven doesn’t work or the wifi doesn’t work or the washers ruin your clothes. The shower will go from cold to scalding randomly and the kitchen situation is horrible, one shite knife for 11 people to share. This place sucks.

Almost one year ago i wrote a very good review. I got along with the staff and the people living inside. The reason i am coming back and changing my review is because i had to wait 3 months to get my deposit back out of which they subtracted 290€ for the fact that they couldn’t find the booking fee from one year ago… it was never my duty to keep track of their bookings, in my opinion this is proper theft. After having discussions and insisting for 2 weeks straight they sent back 410€. The deposit was 700€.

The air conditioning in the rooms doesn’t work. They do not help in any way, even though I have been telling them for a month. I’m trying to live in a 38 degree room. Terrible choice
