Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were clean and comfortable, it felt like a good location (on the other side of the main square but so many restaurants and coffee places nearby and everything was 10-20 mins walk). Jonathan at reception was warm and welcoming, he gave us a lovely introduction to the hotel and was happy to help us with queries. I really loved that the hotel was eco focussed. The dry toilets were absolutely fine, they change them every other day (and can do it the middle day if you request). There is a real water distribution issue in Oaxaca so I was glad to be doing a small amount to save water. The hotel also encourages recycling and rubbish sorting. You also have access to a kitchen and fridge which was handy. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

The architecture and design of the hotel is lovely. Moreover I admire their commitment to recycling and sustainability. The service was good and despite some reviews I've seen, sheer changing can be requested and I agree with their philosophy of not changing them every day. That's a waste of energy. I'll admit the toilets take a bit of getting used to. I did find the room locks awkward at times if this could be looked at!

The place is a perfect oasis in the middle of crowded Oaxaca, very quiet and in our room we didn’t hear any traffic noise at all. Beautiful colors and nice decoration. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would come back definitely.

We absolutely loved Oaxaca and staying at Niyana added to our trip. The rooms were clean and each one different to reflect the different areas of the region. The staff were super helpful and it was great to know that by staying there we were helping a little with the water crisis. Would highly recommend.

Amazing hotel. Dry toilets were fun to use. Service is super friendly and can contact them anytime via whatsapp, super fast response. Cute spacious rooms. Hot showers with good pressure. Not many rooms so very quiet. Beautiful ambience and decor. Great location. 5 stars!

The staff were truly wonderful helping us settle in and offering suggestions for the city! The hotel is very relaxing with plenty of ammenities (terrace being the highlight for us). Perfectly located with a short walk to the centre!

Friendly and stylish hotel. We had the room "Huautla" and it's cool (temperature-wise!) and despite the hotel being on a busy street it's wonderfully quiet at night. Our friends suffered the heat in "Teotitlan", though. So looks like the rooms can be very different. Big plus for the dry toilets! Zero smell, and Oaxaca has no water to waste.

This hotel is amazing. The shower had nice hot water and the room was really cute. The overall atmosphere and concept of the hotel were wonderful, and I felt very comfortable every day. All the staff were so kind, and they even helped me plan my trip. When I come back to Oaxaca, I’ll definitely stay here again!
