I’ve lived in many apartments in various downtown cities across the US and the Alea Miami building is there in terms of location, amenities and interior furnishings it’s a great building in Miami’s Central Business District What exceeded my expectations was the entire leasing process from viewing the potential units to signing my lease, Shane assisted every step of the way and provided too notch service. Typically the lease process is the worst part of getting a new apartment but from A to Z Shane made it painless and seamless.

I was starting to lose hope in finding my dream apartment. After touring multiple places in Downtown Miami, nothing felt quite right—until I walked into Alea. From the moment I stepped in, I knew this place was different. Shane greeted me with such professionalism and warmth. He answered all my questions confidently and, honestly, had me sold in five minutes. With only three weeks left to move, he made the entire process smooth and stress-free. After living in this building for a year, I unfortunately cannot recommend it due to my experience with the management. Communication has been consistently difficult, as all requests must go through a manager via email — and in my case, responses were either significantly delayed or never received at all. This lack of follow-up made even simple issues frustrating and time-consuming to resolve. I truly hope improvements are made, as the potential of the property is being overshadowed by the current level of service.

I applied to Alea Miami with excitement, got approved for a unit, and was charged a $125 application fee (understandable) and a $350 administrative fee. The problem? Despite my approval, the process that followed was poorly managed and left me with no unit, no lease, and no clear communication. I requested to switch to another available unit shortly after being approved. I was told this would be possible, but heard nothing for several days. By the time someone followed up, the new unit was gone. No lease was ever generated for the original unit either. Yet I was still charged an administrative fee supposedly covering “lease prep and processing,” which never occurred. Their response claims the fee also covers internal coordination — but when that coordination fails to result in any tangible progress, it feels like a penalty for trusting the process. Alea Miami has a strict “no refund” policy on both fees, even when services are not delivered in a meaningful way. Be cautious: once they charge your card, you’re on your own.

From the very beginning, Shane has been incredible. Since I live in New York, my co-host toured the ALEA Apartments in Miami on my behalf, and Shane made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The tour was fabulous—everything looked amazing, even through video. From that point on, the communication has been consistent and professional. To this day, Shane continues to support me with anything I need at the property. Whether it’s a question or a hiccup with one of my Airbnb guests, he’s always responsive and helpful. It truly takes a team to make things run smoothly, and while Shane isn’t on my personal team, he is a vital part of the ALEA team—and it shows. The management as a whole has been great, and they truly work with you to make your living experience top-tier. If you’re looking for someone who will actually show up, follow through, and care about your experience, I highly recommend reaching out to Shane. He’s the real deal.
